Once again, as the pageview counter clicks over to 200, I wish to say how humbled and grateful I have been by the amount of interest in my work and the great comments people have left.

Following the positive reception of a piece of my writing (submitted for Austheke's lit collective) I will endeavour to upload some more of my writing shortly. However, it may take me a while to get pieces polished enough to upload. For some reason I am more reluctant to share my writing, perhaps I'm more connected to and emotionally involved in it than I am in my visual arts.

Since semester has pretty much finished I can pack up my text books and (hopefully) start to make a bit of a dent in my ever-increasing "to read" pile (currently 30ish books and counting). AND, (this is the bit I'm looking forward to most) I will actually have the time to just write. As much as I enjoy writing essays, after 3 1/2 years of university I'm kind of sick of academic writing. I want to just get lost in writing whatever leaps to mind. I may even start attempting some kind of plan or path for *gasp* a novel! Well, maybe aim for a novella and see how it goes. I'm also looking forward to having the time to do a lot more drawing and painting, and I have a model kit to build too (15th century German Knight, 1/16 scale)

But I digress - tiredness PLUS 5 pieces of cake PLUS 3 hours of shooting sewer mutants (Futurama playstation game - most amusing) PLUS hayfever EQUALS: completely incoherent rambling about entirely unrelated drivel. The initial point of this journal was simply to thank everyone, once again, for their gracious support and encouragement
