An Ode to Centrelink
The room was vast and poorly lit. Honeycombed with cubicles and humming with the monotonous tone of countless bored voices and whirring computers, it reminded Amy of a beehive. The drones, otherwise known as civil servants, ruffled their papers, clacked away at their keyboards and scowled as they went through the motions of their humdrum daily routine.
Amy's thoughts began to wander.
'Why', she pondered, 'are government departments always painted in such awful colours?'
Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a colour chart from her art class. She was not surprised to find nothing on the chart that even remotely resembled this putrid colour.

I suddenly realised it is fast approaching 2 years since I last posted a jounral. Rather than let it get quite that far, I felt compelled to write something - anything! - just for the sake of it.
If and when I can resurrect my camera I will upload some pictures of my recent experiments with crochet! Including a plush llama made for ~S-R-Schauer (https://www.deviantart.com/s-r-schauer) (yet to be delivered) - you should see his googley eyes! He looks slightly mad.
I will also endeavour to upload some photos of my halloween costume (almost complete!)
And now I shall trail off pathetically because I can't think of anything else to say ^_^
I saw this on ~S-R-Schauer (https://www.deviantart.com/s-r-schauer)'s page and found it intriguing. Answer the questions then put them into urbandictionary.com.

News just in:
I got a new job! A proper one!!
Permanent, full time AND (drum roll please) sick leave and holiday pay!! woot!
My typesetting job in Camberwell was only a 4-6 month temp contract (due to finish at the end of next month). I've never actually gone straight from one job to another, there's always been a couple of months gap before I could find another one. So, I've been keeping an eye out for any potential jobs - not actually expecting to get a response for a while.
I saw another typesetting job advertised last Friday. I applied on Monday. Tuesday was a public holiday. Yesterday they rang me to make a time for an interview. Thi
